Sarah & Benn – 10th April 2010 – Wedding

There were a few familiar faces in the bridal party for this wedding. I had shot the groom, Benn, in Monique & Shay’s wedding about 2 years ago. They both were in the bridal party this time around too.. It’s great when I get to shoot the same people again, you kind of start right where you left off, no “getting to know you” moments really. It was a lovely ceremony and then on to Fremantle for the photoshoot. From there we headed off to the East Fremantle Sailing Club for the reception. It was, all in all, a fun, chilled out day.

Many thanks to Melissa also, who came along with me to help out and experience her first wedding from behind the camera. She did a great job and couple of her pics made it on here. Well done!

Glenda & Craig – 4th April 2010 – Wedding

Glenda & Craig’s wedding was on Easter Sunday. The weather was looking pretty grim at one stage, it poured down about a half hour before the ceremony was due to begin! But luckily the rain held off and the two of them had a lovely ceremony outdoors at Sandalford Estate. With all the cloud cover, the light for the day was just perfect. A few photographers I know have said the same thing lately but I wholeheartedly agree, April is the best month of the year for weddings, the light is just beautiful.

It was a great day, full of laughs, and I thank them for being so easy as this was the second shoot for the weekend on a sprained ankle, it was the size of a balloon by the time I got home. Thanks also to Karen who helped me out at very short notice and was an awesome pack horse for me hee hee.

Rachel & Aaron

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of second shooting for Jen of Anna Rose Photography. It was the first time I had shot for Jen and it was heaps of fun! I don’t get to second shoot much anymore as I am mostly in the lead but this was a great opportunity. Being the second shooter means 100% creativity with no stress… bliss!! Here are a few of the shots that I love from the day, and you can view Jen’s blog post here.

Thanks so much Jen for letting me come along…

Adriana & Luke – 3rd April 2010 – Wedding

I had been looking forward to this wedding for ages! Adriana had booked me well over a year ago and back in February we did a little “boudoir” shoot for her. I had gotten to know her a bit during the shoot and she was just gorgeous, both inside and out.

A few days before the wedding I sprained my ankle really badly and up until the day of the wedding I hadn’t been able to walk (I even had the crutches on standby at the wedding!). I was so disappointed that I wouldn’t be able to do everything I wanted to. But, thank goodness, thanks to rest and lots of pain killers, I was actually able to walk (if you could call it that) and made it through the day and was very happy with what I got… I hope they are too!!

Andrew & Ting – 18th March 2010 – Wedding

This was such a sweet wedding. Held on a Thursday at the registry office in the city and followed by an afternoon tea reception at Palais 85 in South Perth. I had the challenge of shooting in the bustling city, at lucnch time, in full sun… I won’t lie, i was nervous… but I think the pics turned out great… I challenged myself and I won! yay!

Maryn & Andy – 13th March 2010 – Wedding

Maryn originally booked me when her and Andy were living in France.. (I was very jealous) so I only got to meet the both of them just before the wedding for the first time. After this wedding though I felt like I had known them for ages. All the speeches gave me such a great idea of their story and how much their family and friends cared about them. Their reception was awesome, in a lovely marquee down by the river. They had a live band teaching all the guests some Scottish dances.. everyone was having a ball!

Thanks for a great day guys, can’t wait to see you soon and show you all of you photos.. here are just a few for now.
