Back in December I shot this lovely session with Renee and Gerard. I love these guys!! We had a great time and the session put Gerard’s mind at ease for the wedding shoot. Stay tuned for their wedding blog post, their wedding was GORGEOUS!!! Now for some pictures…

Zorica went to high school in my younger brothers year. It’s great to photograph someone that you sort of already know as you feel quite familiar. Although it could just be Zorica and her sister as they made me feel very welcome and like a friend, not just photographer. I love those weddings!

This day was very hot! I do remember that, so hot that we saw 11 bridal parties at UWA!! 11!! It was crazy… but we never let it bother us, we got all out shots and had a blast.

What a week! I can’t even begin to put words to this week, as most of the friends at the workshop will agree. Jesh is just someone you want to be near. He has such a positive energy about him that it kind of just jumps on to you. And of course his work is STUNNING so who wouldn’t want to spend time with him. I got so much out of this week, both on a photoraphic and a personal level. Like my friend Kirsty put it, it’s like rehab for your life.

Here are some of the shots I took on the workshop.

This shot was part of a project we had to do on the first day. We had to take a portrait of a stranger, without telling them what it was for. It really pushed me as I am actually quite shy around people I don’t know (despite what my friends might say). I was so excited when I actually did it!

This is my friend Samm. We had to do an exercise were we shot each other with music playing, but we could not communicate by speaking only movements. I love this shot and so did she. It’s amazing seeing how music can change how you work. Powerful.

These last two were taken of some lovely couples who volunteered to model for us for the day. We had 30 seconds to get the shot and we had to shoot in front of everyone else.. I was so nervouse shooting on front of 10 other photographers but I jumped in and did it.

This workshop was most definitely life changing and hopefully I can get to be a part of it next year. I made so many new friends from it too!

Friday the 13th!! Well I guess these two weren’t superstitious… Kym has been a friend of our family for many yeats so it was great to be able to photograph her wedding. My parents were there, which is always strange. I cn always feel them looking at me when I’m shooting… they probably aren’t but I think they are…

Anyway, Kym and Justin’s wedding was great, lots of fun. And they had nothing to worry about in front of the camera. Check out Kym’s eyes!

The Cumins family are very dear to my heart. They saved me from nearly taking up residence in a squat in London once. True story.

Katie, the oldest Cumins, (now Prince) has got two beautiful boys and one day I got to photograph them. Here are just a couple of my faves.

Yes, this wedding was a while ago! I am soooo behind in the blogging thing. It’s one of my favourite things to do but unfortunately it’s not high on the priority list so it gets forgotten… I am trying my best, I have shot some absolutely stunning wedding over the last few months and can’t wait to share them all with you!

Matt & Kat got married on a Friday in November. It was a lovely day, gorgeous ceremony, afternoon tea on the banks of the river, beautiful!
