Jodie & Stafford – Wedding – 23rd January 2010

Another beautiful wedding! I have been soooo lucky this season. Jodie and Stafford had their wedding out in York. Stafford’s family owns a farm out there so it was a fitting place to have the wedding. The ceremony was at a local church, then we were off to the family farm for some photos. The light here was just so gorgeous thanks to some very well timed clouds, I could have shot here all day… The reception was held a Faversham House which is also somewhere I could get lost in for days…

Thanks to Edward for helping me out on the day and to Jodie and Stafford for giving me the opportunity to be able to photograph such a lovely day.

Renee & Gerard – Wedding – January 9th 2010

I was really looking forward to this wedding, like REALLY! I had shot Renee & Gerard’s engagement shoot back in December and it had gone really well so of course I thought the wedding was going to be fantastic. The only bad thing about this day was that I had the flu… I couldn’t believe it… who get’s the flu in summer? Well, me apparently.

The shoot went fantastically, Renee’s attention to detail was incredible. There were just so many pretty things! And I can’t not say anything about the fish. Gerard is a mad keen fisherman and when the biggest fishing competition of the year was on the same day as his wedding he had to find a way to make it work. So after the ceremony we all went to the fishing club to see how the comp was going. It was such a crack up! Gerard said that the look on my face when he brought out that massive fish was priceless… I think a shot of a groom holding a giant fish is priceless…

Thanks so much guys, your wedding was awesome. If I had of had anything less that day, I surely would of died…

There were so many shots I could of had on here.. this a a selection of my favourites.

Kelly Family – 20th December 2009

This was my last shoot of the year before I went on “holidays”. I did manage to have a little break but it’s hard to toally switch off when you have your computer at home.

Just to stay true to the trend of the year this shoot was also very HOT… we got down the beach really early and it was already scorching and full of people. We managed to get the kids playing with the sand and got some shots in before the sun got too bad.

Nicole & Lewis – 19th December 2009

Nicole and Lewis were my last wedding of 2009, and again it was HOT HOT HOT…. the ceremony was at Cottesloe Civiv Centre on the main lawn, and I can tell you, it was like a million degrees. But, again I had a great couple who never worried, just had a great time. These two were so cute, always with that look in their eye to each other. It makes my job so much easier….

Ashleigh & Steve – Wedding – 12th December 2009

I had a run of really HOT weddings…. like 36 degrees or over for about 5 or 6 in a row. Weddings in the heat are hard. Hard because I am boiling and turning into a sweaty mess, hard because the boys are usually in black 3 piece suits and hard because the poor bride is in 50 layers of fabric and a fair amount of make up.

Ashleigh and Steve got married on a hot day but they were great! No complaints, just smiles.

Kate & Matt – Wedding – 5th December 2009

This was for sure one of the funniest bridal parties I have ever shot. The girls were up for anything and the boys weren’t too bad either… haha.

It was such a hot day but it didn’t even fell like it because we were having so much fun.  After the wedding Kate wrote to me and said that after I left the reception she was sad and thought I should of been there with them all dancing the night away…and you know what, I wouldn’t have felt out of place at all!

It was also great to catch up with a previous couple, Melinda & Marek, who’s wedding I shot the year before. I love seeing my wedding couples years after..

Here are some of my faves from the day, there are lots!  Thanks Kate and Matt!!

This is the funniest photo ever. I think Kate asked everyone to show me how they really felt about the photoshoot.. I HOPE this isn’t how they felt! haha
